Ben Calloway is a London based DOP with an MA in Cinematography working in short films, music videos, TV projects and commercials.
He received high praise from the BSC in 2016, named an upcoming cinematograper of note for his work on music video "Slow" by artist Henry Green, which has amassed over 50,000 views on YouTube.
His latest short film "Girl" (Dir. Megan K. Fox) has been well received on the international circuit, selected for BAFTA qualifying festivals, including London Short Film Festival and Underwire Festival where it won the award for Best Under 25. This is one of five awards the film has picked up thus far on its ongoing festival run.
His work has been broadcast in prime time slots on Lifetime TV (Global Sky channel), London Live, Really, Channel 4 and Irish TV.
He shoots on a variety of formats including 8mm, 16mm and 35mm film, and most digital camera systems. He is fully trained by RED on usage of their entire product line, and has experience working with ARRI, Sony and Canon systems.
Personal equipment includes a Sony a7s, set of prime lenses, and lighting kit. He's also an experienced colour grader / editor.
